Update

           Last week we took our midterm exam and that went really well. Monday and Tuesday, I made baked ziti, fresh pasta, fettuccine alfredo, spaghetti squash provencal, and gratin dauphinois. In bake class today, we had a midterm exam and baked a batch of cookies. It was pretty easy and only took us two hours to complete so I had most of the afternoon to myself. Cooking at Trident is going well and I am enjoying it.
          My garden in growing slowing and looking beautiful. We had a hard rain last week which I hope didn't drown my seeds. I'll know in a few days. I have carrots, squash, peas, leeks, broccoli, beets, beans, lettuce and onions. I've never grown leeks before but I hope some grow because I have a few recipes I want to try.
